The PLAIN ER TABLE develops the use of eastern red cedar in furniture. Built from 1 1/2-inch-thick slabs of locally milled eastern red cedar, the tabletop and legs are arranged as dry-jointed slabs that can be disassembled through mechanically fixed connections. The project showcases the potential benefits of regionally sourced lumber in developing circular economies in the Great Plains.
